Piping Designer

Engineering Group of the Southeast is a firm that supports heavy industry such as pulp & paper and chemical companies in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. We provide design engineering, project management, engineering evaluations and drafting services.

We are currently searching for a Senior Piping Designer to perform the following duties:

• Create or modify drawings as required.

• Perform field work such as inspecting plant conditions, routing pipe/duct, laying out new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources.

• Must have detailed knowledge of pipe, fittings, piping support practices, piping design practices.

• Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible.

• Develop less experienced designers and drafters.

• Work very closely with clients, contractors, vendors and other engineers.

• Have excellent communication skills.

Qualified candidate must have at least 10 years experience as a Piping Designer Pay is commensurate with experience and full benefit package available. EGS is not hiring at this time.
